The process of packing and shipping personalized trophies can be extremely difficult. Trophies tend to be disproportionate due to the nature of their shape. The top of a trophy is typically very light, while the bottom is very heavy typically made from marble, meaning the item will fall downward in the box instead of remaining flat within the box. Combining the disproportionate problem with the fact that every order must contain multiple items and that there is no one perfect packing material, it becomes very difficult to successfully ship personalized trophies. 

When packing a trophy, the best way to make up for its shortcomings is by taking advantage of each packing material's strengths. The first step in successfully packing a trophy is selecting a 200-pound tested cardboard box. Once you have the correct box, you can start packing with cornstarch packing peanuts in the bottom. This will help you to protect the trophies from the bottom. 

 

Then, wrap each trophy individually in bubble wrap; this will keep them from getting starches on them. Next, try to center the weight of the trophies when placing them in the box. Using crushed-up newspaper, fill in any large gaps around the trophies. The crushed-up newspaper acts as a crush zone for the trophies, and they remain secured a little more because of it. 

 

Continue to fill the extra space in the box with packing peanuts, ensuring that even more cushioning is provided in case the trophies move around. Last but not least, place a piece of cardboard at the top of the package and add more packing peanuts, creating another crush zone on top of the package. Close the box up and then secure it tightly with tape. 

 

For the trophy, packing is very labor-intensive, but it is truly worth the effort. Most trophies include custom engraving, which would have to be redone if the items were broken during the shipping process. Therefore, taking the time to ensure proper shipping will save a lot of time and effort in the long run.
